Honoring service through citizenship

Dedicated support and resources for US military veterans, active duty, and their families navigating the path to citizenship.

The United States has a long tradition of welcoming non-citizens into military service.

Today, there are nearly 50,000 green card holders serving in the U.S. military, and approximately 115,000 non-citizen veterans who have served honorably but never completed the naturalization process.

Becoming a U.S. citizen is a journey that requires profound dedication, scrutiny and perserverance. Under special provisions of U.S. immigration law, veterans and active-duty military members are offered a unique path to citizenship to honor their committment and sacrifice.

Welcome.US has joined forces with Combined Arms, Blue Star Families, Braver Angels, No One Left Behind, the Foreign-Born Military Spouse Network, and a coalition of partners to help guide U.S. military veterans, active duty service members, and their families along their path to citizenship.
