Welcome.US Corporation, a Delaware nonprofit nonstock corporation with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“Welcome.US,” “we,” “us,” “our”), has created this Privacy Policy to describe how we handle personal information when you visit our website at www.welcome.us (the “Site”); visit our store at https://store.welcome.us/ (the “Store”); pursue an employment opportunity with an employer through our HireConnect platform or use the HireConnect platform as an employer; pursue a volunteer opportunity with us through our Citizenship Volunteer platform; visit our Welcome Connect platform; use or interact with our donation, fundraising, recurring donation, donor communications, campaign page, or related fundraising features (the “Fundraising Features”); or interact with us on any other platform, including but not limited to our social media pages (collectively, the “Services”). Welcome is committed to respecting and protecting your privacy. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. Your use of the Services indicates you acknowledge and agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

- Financial information if you make purchases through the Store or make a donation, including credit card, debit card, and financial account numbers, payment card information, financial account information, transaction details, form of payment, payment confirmation and other payment details. We use a third-party payment processor and fundraising platforms to process payments and donations, and we do not receive or store full credit card numbers or bank account information.
- Donation and fundraising information if you make a donation or interact with our donor-facing fundraising features, including donation amount, donation frequency, campaign page, donor preferences, donor messages, payment status, receipt information, recurring donation information, and related transaction details.
- Transaction information if you visit the Store, including the items you view, put in your cart, add to your wishlist, purchase, return, exchange or cancel and your past transactions.
- Employment information if you choose to create an employment profile through our HireConnect platform, including occupation, education, professional qualifications, and work history.
- Identity and eligibility information including age and gender in connection with HireConnect, volunteer and Welcome Connect opportunities, and government-issued ID, and family situation in connection with Welcome Connect.
In addition to the above categories, you may otherwise choose to provide us with additional personal information, such as when you attend an event, contact or communicate with us, fill in a form or survey, or otherwise choose to make additional information available to us through the Services. The specific personal information that we may collect depends on your use of the Services and your interactions with us.
2. How We Collect Personal Information
We may collect the above categories of personal information from you from the following sources:
- Directly from you and others. We receive information through your use of our Services, such as when you visit or use the Services, create an account, complete any forms or submissions, or communicate with us as well as through your interactions with us. If you choose to make available personal information for or about other individuals, you represent that you have the necessary rights and consents to do so and permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
- Automatically through the Services. When you use our Services, certain personal information may be collected automatically from your device and browser (including through cookies and similar technologies).
- Through service providers and business partners. We may receive personal information from service providers and vendors whom we engage to perform services on our behalf and from our business partners.

- To provide you with the Services you request, including facilitating communications with us and others, keeping you up to date on new information, services, and opportunities.
- In connection with the Store, to perform our contract with you, to process your payments, to fulfill your orders, to remember your preferences and items you are interested in, to send notifications to you related to your account, to process purchases, returns, exchanges or other transactions, to create, maintain and otherwise manage your account, to arrange for shipping, to facilitate any returns and exchanges, to enable you to post reviews, and to create a customized shopping experience for you, such as recommending products related to your purchases. - In connection with fundraising, to process donations, administer recurring donations, issue donation receipts or acknowledgments, communicate with donors, manage donor records, support donation pages and campaign pages, migrate recurring donations where applicable, detect and prevent fraud or payment issues, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, nonprofit, and recordkeeping obligations.
- To develop, analyze, and improve our Services, including troubleshooting, understanding how the Services are used, and developing and personalizing new offerings and initiatives.
- To send you newsletters or communications you request and to provide and improve our marketing and advertising efforts, including through targeted advertising. To opt out of certain marketing communications, please use the unsubscribe link available at the bottom of such communications. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you messages related to transactions you engage in with us or to manage our relationship with you.

It is possible that employers on the HireConnect platform may make use of automated decision-making technology. Any use of such technology by an employer is governed by that employer’s terms and policies.
4. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose your information:
- To service providers: Third-party service providers and vendors that help us operate the Services, including hosting services and other IT services providers, payment processors, email communication providers, security marketing, research, and analytics services. This includes Shopify, vendors and other third parties who perform services for the Store on our behalf (e.g. IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfillment and shipping). This also includes GoFundMe, GoFundMe Pro, GoFundMe Pay, payment processors, donor-management platforms, fundraising platforms, email or marketing tools, fraud-prevention providers, analytics providers, and other providers that support donations, recurring donations, donor communications, payment processing, receipts, reporting, and fundraising administration.
- To advertising partners: We may use vendors and third-party marketing and advertising partners to deliver targeted advertising. For example, in connection with the Store we use Shopify to support personalized advertising with third-party services based on your online activity with different merchants and websites. Our business and marketing partners will use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices. Depending on where you reside, you may have a right to direct us not to share information about you to show you targeted advertisements and marketing based on your online activity with different merchants and websites. You can exercise your rights to opt-out of those uses here.
- To sponsors or partners: In limited cases, with trusted partners as part of a program or campaign you choose to engage with.
- To third parties: In connection with HireConnect and Welcome Connect, we may also share your personal information and any determinations we may make about your participation in, or standing with, Welcome Connect and HireConnect with third parties, including beneficiary, institutional, and community groups and organizations, as we may determine in our sole discretion is necessary to protect the health and safety of (i) those fleeing violence, oppression, and strife or (ii) those seeking or offering employment who may make use of our HireConnect platform. When we share your personal information submitted through HireConnect and Welcome Connect with third-party partners, we will enter into agreements with the recipients of your personal information that forbid the third-party partner from further sharing or misusing your personal information, including forbidding the third-party partner from using your personal information for marketing purposes.
- In connection with the Store or the Fundraising Features, when you direct, request, or otherwise consent to our disclosure of certain information to third parties, such as to ship you products, process or manage a donation, issue a receipt or acknowledgment, support a campaign page, or through your use of social media widgets or login integrations.
- To affiliates: With our affiliates or otherwise within our corporate group.
- For legal compliance: When required by law, or in response to valid legal requests (such as subpoenas or court orders).
- To website analytics services: We may use tools such as Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our Services.
- Between users: In the course of providing the Services, we facilitate the disclosure of information, including personal information, to enable your use of the Services, such as between job seekers and employers through our HireConnect platform, and between sponsors and beneficiaries, through our Welcome Connect platform.
- In the case of a change of control or a legal obligation: In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or bankruptcy, to comply with any applicable legal obligations (including to respond to subpoenas, search warrants and similar requests), to enforce any applicable terms of service or policies, and to protect or defend the Services, our rights, and the rights of our users or others.
5. Relationship with Shopify
The Store is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Store in order to provide and improve the Store for you. Information you submit to the Store will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide and improve the Store for you. In addition, to help protect, grow, and improve our business, we use certain Shopify enhanced features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with the Store, along with other merchants and with Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may make use of personal information collected about your interactions with the Store, along with other merchants, and with Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including for responding to your requests to exercise your rights over use of your personal information for these purposes. Welcome is an organization based and located in the United States and is providing the Services to users located in the United States. Welcome is not targeting individuals who are citizens or residents of countries outside of the United States.
