When you join the Welcome.US Haiti or Ukraine affinity groups, you’re connecting with fellow Welcomers who share your commitment to helping Haitian and Ukrainian newcomers and families thrive. These communities provide the space to connect, learn from fellow Welcomers, and turn shared goals into coordinated action.
Why join an affinity group?
These dedicated groups are designed to empower Welcomers like you to:
- Build lasting connections with fellow Welcomers who share a commitment to welcoming and supporting Haitian and Ukrainian newcomers.
- Exchange ideas, ask questions, and identify opportunities to collaborate.
- Navigate changing policies with confidence alongside experts and partners who provide insights, policy updates, and guidance on emerging needs and opportunities.
At Welcome.US, we regularly connect with others in the field to share what we’re seeing, trying, and learning, and to find ways to act together. Affinity groups were born from that same vision: to create an ecosystem of support where Welcomers can learn from one another, maximize their collective impact, prevent burnout by supporting each other, and—perhaps most importantly—know that they’re not alone.

The Haiti affinity group meets via Zoom the first Monday of each month at 3 p.m. ET.
