A community in Middletown, Conn., came together to welcome Afghan newcomers. They prepared for their arrival by unloading furniture and household goods into the new house, painting, and making improvements. A few months after the family settled in, they’re thriving. They have a new set of twins, and both 4-year-old Moniv and his dad are working on perfecting the letters of the English alphabet.
