Meet Sasha, a brave young man from Ukraine who experienced the horrors of war firsthand when a bomb struck his school dorm room. Concerned for his safety, family friends in America—Natasha and her daughter Valentyna—took action. They applied to sponsor Sasha and his mother through Uniting for Ukraine and brought them to safety in the U.S. Sasha is still processing the trauma of war, but he feels hopeful and grateful. He dreams of going to college and using his skills to help others, not just in Ukraine, but in America as well.
