A Town Comes Together to Welcome an Afghan Family

Middletown, CT | A community in Middletown, CT came together to welcome Afghan newcomers. They prepared for their arrival by unloading furniture and household goods into the new house, painting and making improvements. They want to be as supportive as possible to the newcomers who have left everything behind and now face the daunting task of rebuilding. A few months after the family settles in, they’re thriving, have a new set of twins and both 4-year-old Moniv and his dad are working on perfecting the letters of the English alphabet.
